770-L-SS

Description: Deacon 770-L-SS is a thermal reactive liquid sealing compound that is used in high temperature and high pressure applications. In the presence of heat, Deacon 770-L-SS will form a mechanical (“mechanical type”) seal. Deacon 770-L-SS will not cement threads or flanges together, thus it will not interfere with future repairs of metal-to-metal joints. Deacon 770-L-SS is unaffected by thermal cycling.

NOTE: Sealant material must be confined within a joint, as opposed the being applied topically.

Temperature Range: 200ºF to 1350ºF.

Test Report: Batch Analysis Report for halogens, sulfur, and low melting point metals provided for Deacon 770-L-SS.

Recommended Applications: Deacon 770-L-SS is specifically designed for use on stainless steel. Deacon 770-L-SS can be used as a gasket dressing to improve the sealing capability of standard gaskets. Deacon 770-L-SS can also be applied to many types of gaskets (including spiral wound) to reseal them, thereby prolonging their useful life. Deacon 770-L-SS can be used as the only sealant on low tolerance metal-to-metal joints. Deacon 770-L-SS is applied to the sealing surface in a complete, uniform, thin coating. The coating need not be very wide, because the product will flow under compression.

Typical Applications: Stainless Steel Joints, Turbine Split Casing, Any Metal to Metal Joints, Boiler Doors, Leaking Gaskets, Stacks, Flanges, Threaded Fittings, Heat Exchangers, Steam Traps, Gasket Dressing, Sight Glasses, Nuts and Bolts, Pressure Vessels.

NOTE: Sealant material must be confined within a joint, as opposed the being applied topically.
