PUMP-44

Deacon Pump 44 is a pliable material that does not harden, become brittle, glaze, or crumble. Pump 44 is a fibrous (putty-like) graphite based compound that contains a non-melting synthetic carrier and protects to 1000ºF. Deacon Pump 44 lubricates internal surfaces to minimize the effects of deterioration or wear. Because Pump 44 is a putty-like compound, it acts as a sealant and lubricant in application. Friction and wear, normally created by standard braided packing which seals by pressing and binding against the shaft, is reduced to a minimum.

Typical Applications: Rotary Pumps, Valves, Centrifugal Pumps, Agitators, Reciprocating Pumps, Mixers, Turbine Pumps, Refiners, Dryers

Temperature Range: -100ºF to +1000ºF

Packaging: 1lb. Tub

Features: Putty-like form eliminates the need to stock by size. Minimal downtime – repack simply by adding additional Pump 44 as needed (old Pump 44 does not need removed). High temperature and pressure ranges. Protects against rust and corrosion. Resists seizing and galling. Remains pliable. 100% consumable. Highly water resistant.

Recommended Applications: Deacon Pump 44 can be used in various styles of pumps, valves, mixers, agitators, refiners, and dryers. Pump 44 may be injected or hand packed with the same outstanding results. Pump 44 is especially useful with problem leaks where downtime comes at a premium, because you never remove Pump 44 – but instead add more to the gland area. This saves the time associated with the slow removal of old, hard, brittle packing that may eventually damage shafts and sleeves.

Shelf Life: No change in consistency or appearance for two years in closed containers.

Warning: Not suitable for use on oxygen or chlorine systems.
